The Maraging steel (grades 250, 300, 350) offered by Tanvir Nickel Alloys is a low-carbon alloy that combines nickel, cobalt, and molybdenum, along with alloying elements like titanium and trace amounts of aluminum. For instance, Maraging 250 typically contains around 17-19% nickel, 7-8.5% cobalt, 4.6-5.2% molybdenum, 0.30-0.50% titanium, and no more than 0.03% carbon. When aged, these materials can achieve tensile strengths of approximately 1,700-1,800 MPa or even higher (about 240-260 ksi), depending on the specific grade and processing methods. While yield strength is notably high, ductility (elongation) does decrease somewhat, usually falling within the 6-12% range after aging. Additionally, the material showcases good toughness and resistance to crack propagation.
